Donde encontraste las chapas del cuello de la capa?

Sorry, what do you mean? I translated the question but I’m not quite sure what you’re talking about. What cosplay? (I’m assuming?)

what people think gift giving as a love language means: *spending an excessive amount of money on materialistic gifts for people during the holidays*

what gift giving as a love language actually means: “i picked up this cool rock that i found on the ground that reminded me of you” or “i bought you this necklace for 50 cents at a yard sale cause i thought you’d like it” or even “i’ve had this thing since childhood but i feel like it could be of some use to you or give you comfort so i want you to have it”

The point of a gift is to show that you know👏 a 👏person👏well👏!!!!

I have this love language and I have described it as being a magpie. I found this cool ceramic plate at goodwill I thought you would like. I heard you were looking for a new pen here try this one. Please accept my trinkets of devotion.

In this day and age, where so many of us are separated by so much distance, I think it’s important to say that one form of gift giving that is often overlooked and underrated is… links. When someone sees something online and thinks “oh!!” and sends it to you because it made them think of you… that’s included. That’s something people do to show they care.

YES
DEFINITELY

“I saw this and thought of you” is one of the sweetest thing people can say to me, and it’s cousin “Oh let me take the time to dig out that link/image you made me think of in conversation and then show it to you” is just, such a lovely gift?

(not to mention that when someone gets me tiny shinies off my amazon wishlist, or a ravelry pattern or something, I go absolutely HOG WILD. Your “trinkets of devotion” are gonna make my day - no, more likely, my fucking WEEK, and even afterwards will make me smile whenever I think of it.)

I’ve already seen discourse on Twitter about Keanu Reeves and his girlfriend bc apparently, 46 ISN’T age appropriate for a 55 year old man or something and I’m starting to think some people don’t understand the discussion about age gap relationships….it’s not about age gaps themselves, it’s about adults dating people who aren’t adults (usually teenagers). But also, 46 and 55 is age appropriate jfc

Yeah bruh it’s not the actual gap ffs people, it’s the age gap RELATIVE TO THE PEOPLE’S AGES

Let’s see some examples:

3 year gap between a 15 and 18 year old: BAD. ILLEGAL. FUCKED UP.

3 year gap between a 30 and 33 year old: they’re practically the same age

10 year gap between a 25 and 35 year old: hmm kinda weird, might let it slide, but no.

10 year gap between a 60 and 70 year old: yeah trust me you’re good.

9 year gap between a 20 and a 29 year old: let me put this into perspective, person A could be in their second year of college and person b graduated 7 years before. That’s weird and they’re at INFINITELY different stages in life.

9 year gap between a 46 year old and a 55 year old: they’re both middle aged, they’re both at the same stage in life, they’ve probably both have had some sense of stability for a while now and probably no wildly violent life changes like high school/college/first job/first partner have happened in a while. It’s FINE.

Also he exclusively stated that dating someone half his age was predatory and creepy

It seems that tumblr is really dead. The same posts have been on my dashboard for hours now…

I guess I’m not the only one who forgot about tumblr

Done and done.

(Not pictured: “Butt window”, but trust me, it’s there.)

You have no idea how much this cheered me up just now.

I for one, think this is a major improvement. Look how empowered he is! And it’s relevant to the character as someone who is powered by the sun, he’d want to maximize the amount of sunlight he receives, right? It’s not like it makes sense for him to cover himself from chin to toe.
In fact, I think some strappy sandals might be an improvement.

strappy high heeled sandals would increase his height making him closer to the sun. and if wonderwoman can fight in heels it can’t be that hard, right?

SO EMPOWERING

Felt a dire need to contribute to the hilarity.

Now I can tell right away he’s a strong male character. Whew! No more confusion.

+1 for him doing the boobs and butt pose too.

@vulcanette

Here’s to strong male characters who aren’t afraid to show their masculinity!

This is the shit I’m here for on Tumblr

Now he can shit without taking his pants off. :)

Oh yeah, I finished my Chun-Li cosplay and had a photoshoot with it on Halloween in London’s Chinatown. It was really neat and the bonus shots with the kids are great. They made my entire night <3

And another bonus… I was rather shocked with my flexibility.

THIS IS AWESOME.  Love the little kids grooving on it.

I’ve missed seeing your work.

I honestly forgot about tumblr for a while and opened it for the first time in months today.

Tumblr: Don’t scroll past this! Don’t ignore this! No one’s talking about this!

I’m an adult who reads three different newspapers. This is Tumblr, where I go to get away from the news. If I don’t want to read something on Tumblr, I don’t have to. If I don’t reblog something, that doesn’t mean I’m ignoring it. I’m not talking about it here because I’m talking about it to people in my real life.

Tumblr is not where I come to get news, and quite frankly, it shouldn’t be.

So I found out a few months ago that wanting to ‘not exist’ or wishing you could ‘just sleep forever’ is also considered suicidal (specifically suicidal idealization). It shocked me cause I used to think that way when I was younger but had previously thought that being suicidal meant explicitly wanting to die.. but it actually involves wanting to not live too.

I think its an important thing to note cause it might allow someone to realize the severity of their condition earlier.

This was the funniest thing to me. Because I was talking to a counselor, and they were like “Are you suicidal?”

“No not really. But sometimes I don’t want to exist though”

“You do know that’s suicidal ideation?”

“…what?”

I wish I kind of knew before. Like honestly, we know so little about mental health.

image

Yup yup, it’s not normal to want to disappear, or to feel like you don’t shouldn’t be alive. Or like you’d like to opt out of life totally, even if you don’t necessarily want to “die” per se. If you’d really rather not live, that’s suicidality babe.

This uh..made me realise that maybe, just maybe, I need to see a doctor. I never realised this was considered suicidal.
